I get by with a little help from my friends
What a beautiful day to celebrate my 30th with mates. We started at our house where I supplied them all with beer and bacon butties. Ollie, Ben and Simon came from Manc and Daz, Becky, Adam, Vicky, Wes and Robin came up from Hull. Was everyone had eated, meeted and greeted and Wes had wowed them all with his guitaring we set off down this hill and onto the first pub of the beer crawl. Sat in the beer garden, with the sun shining and drinking real ale. Life is good!
We then moved onto the second one where I was forced to drunk a 'dirty pint' co dusting if shots of rum and whiskey topped up with guiness. It was disgusting and subsequently I then didn't remember a great deal about the next couple of pubs we went into! I'm sure much fun was had...
After The Railway we got the train into town and into Grillstock. It wasn't as great as what I was hoping but Kitty, Daisy and Lewis were good and the meat and booze on offer wasn't disappointing. My highlight has to have been Wes's joke involving me spilling the camel curry on Boo's foot... Then to high five everyone and walk off nearly finished me off!
Ollie's suggestion of Tiger Lounge was a great choice and everyone seemed in great spirits drinking shots and dancing to Motown. It's a shame we had to call it a day around half 2ish and then I finally hit to bed at 4.30. Having been up around 22hrs.
All in all it was an absolute brilliant and enjoyable 30th birthday with some very great mates. I'm a very lucky chap.
