A Short Visit from Grandma & Grandad

Mum and Dad popped in to see us for an hour this morning on their way to Portsmouth. They are heading to Norway for a week. Orla was very pleased to see them but Conor was sleeping for most of the time they were here. He woke up just as they were leaving, in time for a quick photo.

We headed out to the Science Museum to meet up with Pooky, Tom, Lyra and Ellie. Orla had great fun playing with Lyra and Ellie in the kids area on the top floor and learned quite a bit about gravity - knocking down the arch we built with the special bulding blocks.

Afterwards we got on the Picadilly line out to Covent Garden and had dinner in Pizza Express (a regular haunt because Orla loves the pepperoni pizza with no cheese).

Then a quick visit to Orla's favorite place in London - Trafalgar Square - to get in a few monkey swings on the barriers, a dip of the hand in the fountains and a chase of some pigeons. Then home along the Circle line to Tower Hill and the DLR from Tower Gateway to Limehouse.
