Christmas Is Coming ....

.... but first we have Halloween.

The flower shop next door to the hairdressers in Witney where mrsfb was having a fringe trim. I did offer to do it but again she declined.

We won't need to attend a Christmas wreath workshop. The one we bought last year should be OK, as long as it hasn't been attacked by mice in the garage.

We won't bother with a pumpkin either. We usually buy lots of sweets for possible trick-or-treaters though, but no one ever comes and I have to deal with the sweets. Well someone has to.

It's been a lovely day today. We had breakfast baps sitting outside, next door to the hairdressers in the other direction. I was enjoying the sunshine but got talking to a rather eccentric guy on the next table. It started off OK just talking about the weather (heatwave coming next month) but then moved on to politics and HS2. I was glad to get away.

In other news the British Gas man came as promised and hopefully has fixed our central heating/RCD problem. He said he was 110% confident it would be OK now. He fitted the new three port valve and talked me into buying a magnetic filter (which we had declined when the boiler was installed). He also installed a new pump while the system was drained. The old one was 26 years old. We only paid for the filter, the valve and pump were covered by our service contract.
