The Little Ballplayer

Lisa took another day off today, and we had big plans to visit the Jiffy plant in Chelsea, Michigan. They make all kinds of different mixes, but are most widely known for their cornbread mix. (It's yummy.)

What we didn't know is that we had to have reservations for the factory tour. Good thing we called first.

Those darn school kids! Who do they think they are taking these end of school field trips? The groups had the whole day booked, so we'll have to go some other time. Plus...it ruined my Blip thought of the day. I think a close-up picture of corn meal would have REALLY gone over big.

Instead, it was supper at Culver's (a burger joint) with Merrick and others. There were 9 of us all together.

Today, while shopping, we found him the little baseball glove he has on his left hand. It was a big hit, though he needs a little work with his throwing motion.

My daughter just sent me a picture text of Merrick sleeping...and he is holding the glove. Awwwww!

The picture on the far left really shows the "MINE" stage he is in. The ball was his...the glove was his...and also MY double scoop of lemon ice in the restaurant was his, too.

Just like the throwing motion...sharing things is something they have to learn.
