Who would ever believe two young girls could create so much panic? 

While C was undergoing the brain op, which thankfully seems at this moment in time to have gone as well as could be hoped - they think they have all of the tumour, but time is the big teller in these issues - Mrs. Ottawacker was miraculously called into work, and I was left with the As - aged 8 and 10 respectively. Even Ottawacker Jr. was no help, as he had been touched by some sort of Lazarus miracle, and had made it into school without the slightest coercion.
