Delft-ish

We have a fireplace upstairs that needed a new tile surround and Mindy decided it would be fun to make our own delft-looking tiles. It sounded like a ton of work to me but here we go.
Mindy did one of our old car that we drove until the wheels fell off. It was quite small, dark purple, and people used to comment on it frequently. (It was cheap, got great gas mileage and had a seatbelt for everyone).
The air conditioning wasn’t great though and we lived in Las Vegas. The kids would frequently get overheated on longer trips so we would stop and get them cold fizzy drinks.
I painted the fizzy drink one. Initially I was going to write Coca Cola on the cup but my hand is no where near steady enough for lettering. We have 6 more tiles to go… may the force be with us.
