A visit from a friend

This very friendly weka stopped by.
I don't often get to see wekas in South Canterbury so I'm always thrilled by a sighting, let alone the chance to photograph!

Decided to back track this afternoon so staying at Pakawau again tonight.  Trying to avoid the 100km winds, and an opportunity for another licorice icecream!  

As long as the weather improves the plan is salmon fishing and fresh hot smoked salmon for lunch at Anatoki tomorrow.  Yum!. 

Extra is Azzy at Pohara Beach, just because both she,  and the beach, are lovely
