Paper Art
I had a short walk from the cottage after breakfast- very still and very beautiful. Coffee at the village bakery in Danby then a visit to the Moors Centre to look at the Exhibition with the theme ‘Hedgerows’ . There were some inspiring pieces of work there . I loved this paper cut of Autumn things by Sarah Morpeth called ‘ Autumn Explosion ‘ but there were also original ceramics and wire work using silken threads to represent hedgerow life .
This afternoon we had a walk at Robin Hoods Bay and a cuppa in the Old Coastguard Station .Had a chat with a NT volunteer there who was saying his partner is a teacher working with children who can’t cope with school though mental health issues - so sad and so shocking that numbers of r these children have increased in the last few years particularly since the Pandemic .
