Roses for Smithers
My lovely husband is to have a second operation tomorrow, when his glaucoma surgeon will try once more to insert a shunt to relieve the pressure in his eye.
He has been assured by the hospital’s Medical Director that there will be two more senior anaesthetists working with the surgeon, and that he will now be kept in Intensive Care rather than be moved to a general ward. We are both relieved that the surgery is to take place, but we have been warned that it may not now be possible for his sight to be restored.
There are many people are praying for his safety during the operation, and for a successful outcome, with no loss of sight. I am so grateful to all of our faithful praying friends, and to my Blip friends as well for their loving encouragement to us both during this difficult time.
