Cyclamen Cyclicality
Today's image is another in my just outside my back door series (a.k.a an emergency blip). I'd not managed to capture anything all day until I saw the glorious colour of this lone cyclamen jumping out of the shadows as dusk set in. It was intended to be joined by further autumnal planting but so far it's a bit of a horticultural outlier. I apologised to it (yes, I have been talking to plants again) as it does look quite lonely out there. I do intend to remedy the situation shortly.
Cyclicality is a term in botany which means having parts of plants which are arranged in a whorl (a pattern of spirals or concentric circles). Not sure this actually applies to cyclamen but I wanted to use a new word and an another alliterative title! :-)
