Today’s weather forecasts showed rain all day and they were right.

By 9.30 I’d done the essential jobs so decided to go to Windermere. First to Booths (that was the plan) for cheese and a pie then down to Bowness for a blip. I didn’t know about a road closure in Windermere so found myself having to choose between joining a long queue to go back to the main road or just forget about the shopping and head straight down to Bowness. I chose the latter.

Parked at the top of the hill and walked to the bottom and back up. It was too wet to go to the prom. I didn’t find many photo opportunities and preferred this window cleaner to my umbrella shots.
