Michaelmas Daisies

They certainly brighten up a rather uninteresting seasonal border after the summer colours.  I must plant some more in different shades of blue and pink.

Mowed the lawn again this morning and have left some of it for tomorrow!
It looks the best it has all summer after the changeable extremes of heat and wet during the year.  Went to the farm shop in the afternoon avoiding a visit to the supermarket until after the week-end.

T and K were up at 4 am this morning for a drive to Arboyne in Scotland for the wedding of an old friend of T's.  They were going to start the journey last night but he was still working until 11 pm.  They arrived there at 1pm so they had a very good run up the motorway. They drive back early on Sunday.  While we bask in the sun here they will be facing a lot of rain and wind up there but that's the way it goes .....
