A new view

Well a new country today actually. We drove up the windy windy road to the border of Italy and Slovenia - in the rain.
Not a problem - there’s always a coffee stop to while away the rainy hours.
Then down to our chosen campsite at Kobarid in the Soca valley above the beautiful turquoise Soca river.
The rain cleared up late in the afternoon and we walked up to a waterfall through the autumnal forest. Along the path we encountered lots of fire salamanders - black with yellows orange spots -scurrying around. Apparently very common around here, usually come out at night , but also in the rain.
