Not Portobello Beach

After a series of successful meetings in Geneva today my host took us for a walk in the Jura this evening. From here in increasingly warm sunshine, with crickets chirping loudly, there was a breath taking view of the Alps with Mont Blanc predominating. This beacon marks the eastern extent of the Large Hadron Collider. The exciting experimentation being carried out here in tunnels below the alps ,as part of CERN 's giant complex. CERN is also the birthplace of the World Wide Web.
Our evening concluded with a delightful meal in a mountain restaurant overlooking Geneva.
