Lunch At The RBGE With Friends

After nearly a month we are back in Edinburgh. I have dropped off Pat at the Scottish Arts Club and headed to the Botanical Gardens for Coffee and Cake before walking around the gardens.

The weather is dreich. I did walk quite a distance and take a number of photos.

Today’s entry is taken from the first of the Gateway Building and looks through what is essentially a glass box entrance.

The stone drum is host to the Conveniences.

Before Lunch I drove up to Rutland Square and chauffeured Pat back to the Gateway Building for lunch with Madge and Niall.

We enjoyed good food, made with produce from the Gardens and also good conversation.

Thereafter we drove back home driving through some stormy wet weather. Interesting to note that ‘Siri’ changed our route home, presumably to avoid some mishap on the normal route.

However, we did pass through the wreckage of a disaster where a fairly posh Mercedes had ploughed into the barrier on the central reservation.

The motorway rescue were in attendance and had effectively granted safe passage through the scene. I do not think that anyone was hurt.
