Repair cafe

This is a before and after of a much loved panama hat I helped give a little more life to today at the local repair cafe in Radwinter.  I’ve never done this sort of repair before, so it was quite a challenge, but they were very keen for me to try.

Extra shows the way I closed the gap, using a bias strip of sinamay straw fabric.  
I also had some holes in the brim to repair too, but forgot to take a photo of those ‘after’!
