Random shelf
This would be, I guess, the equivalent of the book trolley in the library - where the recently returned books are stored until the librarian has time to return them. Always a happy hunting ground for me as a teenager: if the book was good enough that someone else had borrowed it, I should give it a go.
This shelf, in the guest room, was the final place I thought to look for our overlap books (blips passim), having to my surprise not found them in the general shelves. This - being relatively recent shelving - would be where books would be tidied away, and consists therefore of books that have been recently received and read, or recently consulted and lazily not returned to their spot.
Anyway, the overlaps are not here either, so the mystery continues.
Late start after another sleepless night. Weeding outside in the courtyard, then lunch, gardening, reading, chat with CarbBoy (who was watching something about psychedelic drugs with his friends - we were reassured when we found it had Ron Swanson in), and then the last West Wing for a while as I’m off tomorrow for a two week tour of Britain.
With 32 degrees in the shade here today, it is hard to conceive of needing jumpers and raincoat, but with three days in Glasgow in the mix I will need to pack thoughtfully!
