New Cod On The Block

Today's shot was taken just around the corner from home. Our local fish and chip shop has closed for refurbishment under new owners and is due to reopen shortly with a complete refit and the promise of a "much improved new menu". I'm sure it'll be the plaice to be!
The current state of the shop window just made me remember that when we were kids our fish and chips nearly always came wrapped in newspaper and they definitely seemed to taste better when they were eaten straight out of the paper with lashings of salt and vinegar.
