Sunday: Tarpon

We went out on an almost full day snorkelling trip today, out at 9am, back at 3pm.  K and I had been before but today was actually way better - the sea was calmer and the conditions were just right for seeing loads.

There were seven different stops and we saw stingrays, nursing sharks, parrot fish, eels and so many other different species of wonderfully coloured fish.  We also had an excellent close up of the barrier reef (Belize has the second largest after Australia).

This was our last stop.  It’s a tarpon jumping out of the water.  They’re quite huge.

We felt pleasantly sun-weary at the end of the day.  I have a touch if sun burn - I won’t tell you where.  Suffice it to say, sitting on a wicker chair is painful……
