there's always one.....

This is a different eider nursery to the one I blipped before, the ducklings are slightly younger, and this is a larger group, quite a few are out of the shot. There were 3 adult females in charge here.

I also saw the other nursery a bit further out in the harbour with 2 adult females. I got a blip of a curlew too - presumably back from nesting in the moors/fields somewhere inland - but it was far away as the tide was right out.
