BUTTERFLY SERVICE

I had a surprise this morning when my friend Kim turned up at church. She needed a friend…by coincidence the new Wilderness garden was open opposite the church so we went for a wander and ended up crafting in the woods…so therapeutic.

This Sunday was The Revs service for baby and child loss. The chapel usually holds about 30-40. This time there were over 100 people in the chapel…some were even standing outside as it was so packed. Some parents come back year after year (one couple for the last 30 years). It’s very moving, lots of tears but I feel the parents gain comfort from each other too.
Afterwards they were all welcomed to plant a bulb in the Crocus Garden.
It made a long day for The Rev so a frozen Sunday roast sorted a month ago was a welcome convenience.
