Invasion

I was lazy again this morning and stayed in bed to the very last minute. So, we had to take a train that was a little later than we had planned and changed at Clapham for a trip to Woking. A quick stop for a bottle of bubbles and some chocolates before we made our way to PY’s mum’s flat.

Later, Jo wanted to take Scarlet for a walk so went out into the glorious sunshine for a quick stroll to a park. On the way we decided to take a look at the canal and passed the HG Wells statue and then a sculpture of a Martian.  We’d never seen them before. There’s quite a connection to War of the Worlds. The canal walk itself was lovely and is somewhere that would be very interesting to explore further.
