It aint too loud
Firstly, this is a bit of a cheat blip as the two pictures I took today didn't actually save on my phone so this is a taken-tomorrow-but-relevant-for-today cheatbackblip.
It's been a busy day today. P has been awaiting scan results from a hospital appointment in June and he was due to get a phone call for them today. We were both working from home when the call arrived and there was a problem with P's phone so the consultant didn't get through twice and then we thought we might not hear and the landline rang instead. We were both pretty fraught by that point, but luckily everything was clear and nothing to worry about, phew!
Then mum and dad arrived for their stay with us and it's lovely to have them over for a few days. So we busied around getting them settled before finishing work.
Last order of the day was to head into town to go to a gig - we didn't know if we'd be there due to the phonecall, so it wasn't really planned. We found a car park in the west end, found something to eat which was actually pretty good and headed to Oran Mor to see Theo Katzman. I love Theo's music and he's one of my go-tos in many different circumstances. He and the band were on top form and it was a fantastic gig. I even made a pal, a mum who was there with her son and extended family. She was a superfan and we had a lot of fun dancing the night away. Good times.
When seeing bands and knowing how hard it is to make money as a musician unless you're super big or small enough to not need money, I always get merch if there is any. I came away with the t-shirt (a 5 watt rock is a tiny amplifier).
