As you know I belong to a cool art group… Irish Tutor: students from Spain, France, London and Dublin(moi)

Our beloved Irish Tutor is embarking on a Masters Degree and must temporarily step aside. She has taught us so much; inspired us; allowed us freedom to be creative and encouraged freedom of expression and all that goes with that

We thought that our group would fall apart … but no. French Guy has stepped up to the plate and will lead us in our creative endeavour. We are beyond delighted and our Irish Tutor has said she will intermittently participate as a student. Isn’t that just great. Oh I am so glad

French Guy’s first assignment is the word kitchen

He said that in France, the preparation and cooking of food is tres important

2 weeks ago he asked us for an example of a collective in our kitchen which we must link to an artist we admire.

My blip is of my aprons (I come from a long line of women who wore an apron) which hang in my kitchen.

So my submission to French Guy will be..

An Anthology of Aprons

and my artist is Andrea Kowch (please google her kitchen images, they’re terrific)

For next week we each have to present a piece of artwork representing our object of choice. Isn’t this just unbelievably cool!

I am considering asking my swim buddies to wear an apron over their swimsuit / showing that women can still wear an apron when at the same time doing whatever the hell they please
