The sun may not have its hat on today - just wall to wall mist and rain.

Nevertheless, this beautiful sun catcher - another handcrafted piece from Mary Ann Constance in South Wales - always fills me with a feeling of sunshine and warmth whether the sun is shining or not.

I am always exploring the symbolic meanings of flowers and myths and legends associated with them.

The sunflower is a perfect symbol of faith because the mighty flower is always seeking out the light, moving as it to does during the course of the day to face directly the rays of the sun.

Symbolically this is spiritually akin to my heart and soul seeking and attaining unity with the light of faith and keeping connection with the God of my understanding.
