New housing estate

This is to become the entrance to a new estate of 60 houses being constructed in the area where I live. This ‘entrance' was a bungalow a couple of months ago, it was purchased and knocked down to gain access to a green field site behind existing properties. It joins a main carriageway and I forsee some issues with congestion. I expect the new 20mph speed limit will also negatively impact this new junction, as vehicles now tend to drive in convoys controlled by the slowest moving vehicle.

A number of well established trees are to be felled too, but not to worry the developers have said they will plant new saplings, should be great in 50 years time. I’ve put a pic of the plan in extras, you can see this entrance at the top of the pic. There appears to be no account of the additional burden that will fall on already stretched local services: doctors, schools etc.
