Manchester morn

A quick train trip into Manchester this morning for my Dentist check up…… ended up with 50mins to kill, as preferred train cancelled! All good at dentist :-)

Snapped todays blip as I was walking back to Deansgate Station.

I came over from Lincoln Sunday evening to stay with my friend JC, an old work colleague, in Bolton, she’s kindly putting me up so I can drop my car into Horwich for pre booked repair…. they need it for 2 days.

Plan was to drop car in, meet sis & another friend go to see progress on my house, then lunch in Rammy….. back to sis’s to stay there Mon night & come into Mcr from hers to Dentist which is only 5 miles away….. plans dashed as sis got Covid for first time, she’s not been very well at all with it, so had to talk nicely to JC who kindly extended my stay to 2 nights.

I also went to my GPS got my flu jab Tues aft, met my ex neighbours & quiz buddies for a meal pre the quiz…… the plan was to drive back to Lincoln afterwards.

Just one problem, got a call from garage, a part was missing from the delivery so car won’t be ready until tomorrow, as said part won’t come in time!

Had to extend my stay with JC for a third night…… even had to do my on line speed awareness course on her laptop Wed pm as I’d arranged to do that once I’d got my car sorted & driven home Tues night…. got that done, get a phone call saying the garage has 2 guys working on my car to sort out the other problem I’d reported, strong smell of fumes inside the vehicle, and that I could collect it at 5pm

Oh no you can’t!!!

Another call at 4.30 to say that the faulty injector they’d identified that needs replacing is seized on and they can’t release it, so car won’t be ready!!

At this point I blew a gasket and told them I was going home in the Courtesy car and they would have to deliver my car to Lincoln!! Needless to say that wasn’t possible, so I am keeping the courtesy car until I am next due back in the North West, likely 2 weeks….. I’ve had 4 cars from this dealership & never had a problem before, car due to be changed next June…… think it might be sooner than that ;-)

What a palaver!!!
