Unexpected Beauty

I’m sure I’ve passed this tree a couple hundred times in the past five years, as it’s about a hundred yards from my great granddaughter, Lilly’s house. I’ve not noticed it until today when I came to a stop in front of it. This quaint-looking, peaceful driveway with the white fence and glowing tree isn’t on a rural roadway 10 miles from the city. No, this beautiful setting is surrounded by a truck stop gas station, a bar, mechanic shop and three low income trailer parks. This image was like looking at a giant piece of art as it came into view. Just a snapshot of what once was in an area named “The Dairy “ because the area once was a dairy farm a hundred years ago. Juxtaposed against Pikes Peak makes it more beautiful. Wish you could see it.
