Say Hello, Wave Goodbye

I just felt like playing with light and shadow for today's image. I was sitting reading my book when I could see the light through the nearest window was casting these fantastic shadows, so I positioned myself so that my outline appeared within the framing device of the cardboard storage box in the background - with the little pops of colour from other items in the room. The title came into my head as the waving figure could be seen as offering a greeting or a farewell.
Of course it's also the title of a song by the glorious synth pop duo Soft Cell, vocalist Marc Almond and instrumentalist Dave Ball, who came to prominence in the early 80's but are still performing today. This classic pop song was first released as a single in January 1982 and reached number three on the UK singles chart. I've tagged the fabulously 80's video below.
