Running On Empty
The warm weather of the last few days carried on again today. The early morning light was beautiful when we headed out for our usual pre-breakfast run and it still felt unseasonably temperate for the time of year. I love to be up and out before most people have got out of bed as it almost feels like you have the world to yourself.
As today was Saturday and it was the start of the weekend we resolved ourselves to just having a relaxing day. So of course that had to include a pint at our local, The Chequers, sitting overlooking the River Medway. We arrived early and it was just lovely to enjoy our pints as the adjacent passing watercourse sparkled in the sunlight.
After finishing our beverages we thought we should stretch our legs so we ventured to the nearby recreation ground for a walk around the football pitches and the circuitous route around the adjoining area of wooded scrubland. It's not a particularly glamorous or picturesque location but, as I've mentioned on previous blips, it does feel like a separate almost secret environment away from the nearby busy roads.
I was hoping to take advantage of the afternoon light to get my blip image for the day but I wasn't having much luck and then realised I'd almost completely maxed out the SD card on my camera.
I must admit I was getting a bit frustrated, beginning to run out of ideas and feeling as if was lacking any Inspiration until I saw this sign on one of the side walls of our community centre, promoting an advertising space for local businesses that needed filling, that almost perfectly encapsulated my predicament. So I didn't end my blip search empty-handed after all!
