Pied jackdaw

I've never seen a jackdaw with the quanitity of white feathers this one had.  Having gone into town on this very wet day with a fully-formed idea of what to blip, I found it somehow it didn't work out.  So what's new?  But lounging around in Abbey Gardens waiting for a bus I came upon this mad bird round the back of the Mayor's house who seemed perfectly happy to stand beside me - or perhaps I shouldn't say 'happy' just oblivious!

Hopefully tomorrow should be a better day, but right now everything's sodden.  No gardening for me..
