Perspective and context
Though they look quite different, the main blip and the extra were taken from the same spot, looking in the same direction, within 10 seconds of each other. One focuses in, one provides wider context. I could have turned round and taken another picture from the same spot - a JCB digger, setting concrete, an ugly building site, and a load of trucks, vans, and old cars. Just saying... (I'm thinking of Gaza etc as we're all doing atm I'm sure...).
Spent a lot of the day texting / emailing customers for my tasting trip back to Lincolnshire at the end of November - and sorting through my full history of messages for the word "tasting", thus reminding myself of many who haven't had a tasting for years, but might enjoy one a few weeks before Christmas. A few booked in already, others expressing an immediate interest - have a good feeling about the trip - need it to be good as I'll be earning virtually zilch in December as I'm going to Texas and then it's Christmas - I only get paid for the days I actually work...
Back to the present, another order today (D&L: from the customers I met in Anglesey when we went), and the prospect of more next week...
Looking forward to a weekend of rugby world cup 1/4 finals - all 4 too close to call, but just might be a European whitewash (think England, Ireland, Wales and France are all marginal favourites) - which, frankly would be a shame - just becomes like a 6 Nations knockout competition (without Italy and Scotland of course). Laura popped in to get some wine - she's still very happy with her new beau - it's their 1 month 'anniversary' since their first date, apparently. She said "have you got a weekend off then Kevlar?". I said "you mean a weekend?"
