Ballerina with the purple bloomers

wells that's what my gran used to tell me was the name of this vibrantly coloured flower. Fuchsia is not nearly as exciting. I thought she had made up the name but I discovered that it's full Sunday name is Fuchsia 'Ballerina Blau' so I guess she was closer to the truth than I thought.
