A Snails View
It started raining just before I left work this afternoon, so I thought it was going be an evening in trying to do an experimental blip. However the rain has brought some unexpected visitors into my garden.
While washing up after tea I noticed a snail making its way across my garden gate, so I grabbed my camera and dashed out into the drizzle to get some shots. I then noticed another smaller snail on the patio, so I knelt down and placed the camera on a plate on the ground to steady it, and took some shots. But being so close to the ground it was a bit tricky getting the snail in focus. I like this one best, and I really like the pattern on the shell which looks nice and glossy in the damp.
I've been inspired by Springwatch on the TV to try more wildlife watching and photography. I have gathered some of my recent efforts into a gallery here
Have a look if you are interested. There's an interesting mix of wildlife in there.
Thanks for looking
