Evviva Gli Sposi

Long lie this morning as we didn’t have to get up until 7.30am! Father Tony celebrated Mass for us in the chapel of the convent we’re staying in and then after breakfast we set off for St Peter’s Square again to watch Pope Frances deliver his weekly Angelus address. Very moving.
Quick bite to eat and then off to the Coliseum and then Santa Maria Maggiore (another Roman cathedral) in the afternoon. We enjoyed watching this wedding party at the Coliseum. Another big meal for our last night in Rome and then we went back to the Trevi Fountain (to throw in our coins) and visited the Spanish Steps. Arrivederci Roma. An unforgettable visit.
