Argyll Highlanders
These were some of the soldiers marching in Paisley today. They are the Argyll highlanders who had many recruits from Paisley, Port Glasgow and Greenock. They will no longer exist as a separate unit as they will be amalgamating with other regiments in other areas in Scotland to become one regiment.
The Argyll Highlanders have been touring towns as a final farewell. The parade was led by a band and they had their mascot, a small pony. It was so sad to think they will no longer exist as they are now. They were immaculately turned out. So glad I was there to see the parade.
