Autumnal
This morning’s Wetland Bird Survey walk was an autumnal delight! It was cold, but still and bright. There was mist over the water, a scattering of conkers and the start of leaves turning. We saw good numbers of Mandarins and Mallards and other bird highlights included a Heron, a couple of Cormorants and a Kingfisher. I thought there might be more fungi around the reservoir, but at least these Shaggy Pholiota were a lovely sight. The Heron and a very confiding Robin in extras
