Praa Sands

Ever since we came back to Cornwall at the beginning of September, we've hardly been out of St Ives. It just seems like such an effort to go anywhere. Today we went to Praa Sands. The tide was all the way out so I had plenty of space to run around with my ball.

It was really windy on the beach and so, so, cold. In fact it has been so cold today that Ann has had to wear her dry robe as a coat. And as to swimming in the sea; even I didn't bother going for a paddle today. Ann hasn't been swimming in the sea since last Tuesday. She was hoping to get one last swim in, before we leave on Thursday, but she won't be doing that if the weather stays this cold. She's also rapidly going off the idea of doing the Boxing Day swim!!!

When we got back from Praa Sands, Ann was so cold and tired that she said we both had to have a snooze. Mmmmmm................. it wasn't just a snooze she had. She actually went to bed for a couple of hours and fell asleep. I lay on the bottom of the bed and curled up really small and I didn't move a muscle until Ann told me were getting up and going for another walk. By this time it was about 4pm and it was even colder than it had been earlier. Ann says she thinks it's about 12C which isn't actually that cold, but the fact that the weather has been so great until now has lured her into a false sense of security. Lol! We're dreading going back to Edinburgh. It's going to be freezing up there.

When we got home we had to put the heating on for the first time this year. Our house is toasty warm now and apparently neither of us are going out again this evening until it's time for my bedtime wee.

Toodles. xxx
