Mucking Oot da Byre

A better day than expected, although still showers passing over, some lovely sunny spells, breezy with winds picking up tonight.

Up early, headed out walkies after breakfast.  Popped by Madeline's for a cuppa.  Nipped down to mam's, just dad home, then to Laura's for another cuppa.  A week of 1pm to finish late shift in the airport.  I've mostly been meeting and boarding flights.  Quiet flights heading south, but packed on arrival, October holidays nearly over.  Walkies with Sammy this evening, now feet up.

As I left mam's, I came by the neighbouring croft, where James and son JP were busy, but had time for a quick chat.  The cows are back inside the byre for the winter, this means things need to be kept clean and mucked out.  JP was telling me all about his brand new wheelbarrow, he's super chuffed with it and keen to help dad with the croft chores.  He was also telling he'll be 5 on his birthday.  Both heading off to the midden, Aith, Cunningsburgh.
