ghost
it took a lot of experimentation to capture this ghost
It is a single exposure, not a double exposure.
I hope you can see it.
I hope it is not too scary for you.
For lunch I went and saw the church. I could not, could not, could not, get the head of the Aesthetics Committee AND the Reverend at the same time and I could not stand waiting any longer. I woke up in the middle of the night yesterday night and thought, "Crap! I have two months!" By this I meant I have two months to get pictures, I want to get all pictures by the end of the year. I can't set the date without talking to the venue, and I feel very confident, but I can't be sure, I could not wait any longer. Now the head of the Aesthetics Committee has to to talk to the Reverend, which will include what I said about safety. I don't think it will be an issue, but there are so many crazy, insane, hateful people out there, that safety has to be a consideration.
Otherwise, I asked if a month was too long, it is not. I asked if we could do it in March, we can. If I'm not ready by March she even said we could do it in April. I know how many people to estimate for catering for Opening Day and for Discussion Day. We are both on the same page about tying in related events. She loved the idea of incorporating the Transgender Day of Visibility - even if it is on Easter. They'll advertise it in their e-newsletter and from the pulpit and yes, I'd be delighted for them to share with other local churches. The church is locked except when being used because of Covid. They have a room off to the side which is big enough but also means that people are unlikely to wander in and see pictures and deface them or take pictures of the pictures and hunt the people down.
I won't feel comfortable until I hear yes from the Rev, but it was a fantastic meeting.
This church has always been welcoming. Way back in the day they used to have lesbian dances. Some of the women attending weren't out. They held them in a room where people couldn't see in and they didn't hold other things those days so the women in the closet could go safely.
They recently held a ceremony for someone who was transitioning.
It was one of their members who started the Rainbow Youth Alliance in 2006.
