There’s something in those reeds!
Our first sighting in the area around Maxwell Park pond was a huge flock of pigeons …… memories of Alfred Hitchcock’s ‘The Birds’ and really quite scary.
Once they had pecked up every last seed they were off leaving the mallards and coots to enjoy some moments of peace.
Then I spotted the heron hunkered down in front of the reeds watching and waiting ….. they have the most incredible patience.
A lazy afternoon with Keta lying on the arm of the chair with her head resting on my knee while I struggle to learn the parts of the Messiah that our choir are singing at the end of November. Everyone knows The Hallelujah Chorus and For Unto Us a Child is Born but there are many choruses that are less well known. Fortunately we are only doing 12 of the possible 20 with additions by soloists from The Conservatoire.
