Helianthus ……

…. probably better known as a Maximilian Sunflower. A pretty daisy-like flower but not quite so showy as the large single bloom sunflowers.

In the Gazebo Garden in Pollok there are two large beds just full of these vibrant yellow flowers while everything else has withered and needs to be cut back.

It was ten degrees warmer this morning … no gloves needed today. It is quite windy now and I’m not quite sure what weather to expect tomorrow as Storm Babet is expected to hit our shores.
