Little and large....
A busy one today. Ronnie arrived at 9am to bruise and propcorn the remaining barley in the shed. The barley is fed between 2 revolving rollers to flatten it so that the cattle can digest it,then we were adding 13 litres per ton of propionic acid which preserves the grain without having to dry it. The manitou I borrowed to load the hopper had a slow puncture,so had to keep blowing up the tyre every hour or so
By 4.30pm we were nearly finished the 80 tons, but had used all of the 1000 litres of propcorn,so had to leave roughly 10 tons of wet barley that I will need to dry. At least it didn't rain today !
