Punting on the Cam

We started today walking into the city to the Ringing Centre. A few people tried ringing with the simulator, and then we rang conventionally. Some of us then walked around the colleges and along the Backs before having a lunch in Wetherspoons. We then rang opposite Trinity College on the 12 bells of Great Saint Mary’s. It was then on to an eight bell tower, Saint Andrew the Great. We have been helped by another 20 ringers who have come from all over the country to join us. We finished the day with a meal at Wagamama’s. Having missed the bus, we decided to take a taxi to avoid the a 50 minute walk back as we are all quite tired at the end of a long, but successful day.
