Emergency Bond Blip

Hadn't taken any photographs today so here we are, 20:30, and have to think of something.
I'm currently working my way through the Ian Fleming Bond books so thought they might be worthy of a blip, they are getting a bit dog eared and the pages are brown with age now.
The order you see them in is as they were written and published, starting with Casino Royale (first published in 1953), along the top row and then down to Goldfinger, bottom left and along to The Spy Who Loved Me.
I consider all of the books tremendous reading, alas the same is not so true of the films.
I loved Roger Moore in other things, but the scripts he was given as Bond might well have come straight from the Carry On crew of script writers. I usually refer to them as 'Carry on Spying Bond Films'.
The other actors I thought were very good, including our 'Big Fry' Aussie, George Lazenby, and the ones with Timothy Dalton were tolerable but nowhere in the league of Sean Connery, Pierce Brosnan and Daniel Craig.
Did you know that David Niven played Bond in a 1967 version of Casino Royal? Another 'Carry on Spying' I'm afraid despite David Niven's fabulous acting capability.
I have a lot more Bond books by varioius authors, and even 'Young Bond' books which were written by Charlie Higson, he of 'The Fast Show' fame and others. Brilliant books, suitable for younger Bond Fans as there is no sex in them, love yes, but no sex even though Ian Flemings books were pretty tame in that area anyway compared to some books.
