October Dahlias

A fairly breezy day, the odd light shower, and some lovely sunny spells.  Windy tonight.

A morning around the house, then popped by Laura's on my way to work.  Late shift in the airport again.  I've been meeting and boarding flights all day.  A lot of busy flights, people changed flights for today, just incase with storm Babet looming.  Walkies with Sammy, now feet up for the night.

I spent a bit of time in the garden this morning.   Surprisingly there's still a lot of flowers about, and some still to flower, including two huge sunflowers.  Storm Babet may wipe out the last of them, it's not a great earth of wind, with some speeds predicted upto 70mph.  Do I leave the flowers and see what happens, or cut a few for the house?  This is one of many late flowering dahlias.  Taken at Hawthorn Cottage garden, Houl Road, Scalloway.
