Blippers are always looking
For something beautiful or interesting. This is Tesco car park at 7.20 am. I was at the store to get some flowers for my friend M who works at Oxfam on Wednesday afternoons too. She’s 80 tomorrow. I found an amazing bunch of proteas in various bright colours, so got her those. I think she would prefer them to a pretty bunch of pink and white roses, which was the alternative in ‘showstopper’ special occasion bouquets.
It was pretty dark when I went in, but this sky greeted me when I came out again. It last for just a few minutes.
The decorator has diverted to doing the bathroom and upstairs cupboard while the kitchen is delayed. I got the materials he needs then left him to it.
Coffee and a birthday pastel de nata with M, then we opened up the oxfam shop. No manager today, she’s on training, so it was left to the volunteers to run everything, albeit on shorter hours. All went smoothly, as everyone knew what to do. A did photography for the online shop, and S did the listings. D did men’s clothes, L did children's books, I did fiction, and M did linens. A nice afternoon, and I was lucky with buses on the way home.
