Swallowtail

Busy day. Went for a cycle and had a driver slow down and yell at me during one particularly precarious hill climb. “You’re going to get yourself killed!” What a novel and helpful sentiment, and delivered at such an opportune time.

Mindy took the day off in order to avoid the commiseration of friends at work. Not that it isn’t appreciated, but she doesn’t want to be seen while her emotions are still high. She spent her time gardening and found these swallowtail caterpillars on some of her flowers. I love how vivid the coloring is particularly the depth of the matte black.

Mindy and I battled at Dr. Mario tonight ( as we have been for the last 20 years) her game was strong and she took 3 out of 5 rounds.
