Whatever next?

Another stormy night and I awoke this morning to hear that the venue I use for our Thursday morning group was closed due to the high winds. (It's surrounded by big trees)
So I drove into Oban at lunchtime to run a craft group making decorations for this year's Christmas Tree competition.
We were having a lovely time chatting as we made things until I got the phone call from Captainbob.
The road bridge into our village had just been closed to all traffic leaving no way in or out of Kilmelford. Captainbob was on his way to Oban for the weekly food shopping so he had to turn back home.
The suggestion was for me to drive back to Kilmelford as soon as possible,  park in the small hotel car park and walk across the bridge.
By the time I got to Kilmelford the car park was full and they had decided it wasn't safe to let people walk across the bridge as you could see daylight through it!!
Luckily I met a neighbour who was turning round to head over a small farm track and I decided to follow him as it comes out not far from home.
Fortunately we only met 1 car going the opposite way as there are no passing places and the track is not in great condition following the recent deluge.
So glad I made it home,  again!!!
I really won't be going anywhere now because there's no way for us to get there.
There's talk of the Army coming in.
Captainbob made it to the Ardfern shop who hadn't been able to get deliveries and had almost empty shelves,  but he managed to grab a pack of frozen venison,  so we'll be dining like Kings for one night only! ;)
We've only got 2 bottles of wine in the house though!! Anybody got a helicopter?
