I don’t blame him. 

I learned stuff today. There are different kinds of nuclear power plant fuels. There is a new, small nuclear reactor and it requires a more “enriched” nuclear fuel. Only one company makes the fuel and it is Russian. Oops. HALEU is enriched to 20% instead of 5% like most nuclear fuel. We, the US, did not like this monopoly, but the war means we like it much less. We have no sanctions on that company because nuclear plants all over are dependent on them. 

US companies don’t want to be dependent on them. Ukraine doesn’t want to be dependent on them. 

The UK gave Westinghouse money that can be used to develop HALEU. The USD DOE gave Westinghouse money to develop HALEU. It sounds like Westinghouse has developed HALEU. The world’s nuclear power plants will have an alternative to the Russian company. 

RUSSIAN sources say Ukrainian forces have advanced on the Dnipro River, crossing into Russian-occupied territory.
